Tomorrow rolls around, and it's a warm, sunny day. Does this mean V awaits under the awning of the candy shop storefront dressed appropriately? No, of course not. He's still wearing all black.
This storefront itself is a very retro-looking affair, which certainly adds to the novelty. The colorful packaging of ready-to-sell candies and various other confectionaries beckon any passerby inside, though V waits for his "date" to arrive first and foremost. He has a dark messenger bag slung over his shoulder for this outing, which is probably also where he stores the book he's currently reading, splayed open in one hand while he whittles down the minutes.]
[ Not to worry, Declan is wearing more than enough color for them both. If ever there were an instance of "opposites attract" (for the purposes of fake dating), this is surely it.
If nothing else, he's easy to spot as he makes his approach, waving vigorously at V from a short distance away. It's the sort of wave where one's whole arm is involved. ]
[His eyes lift from his book, and seeing Declan hurry closer in the manner that he does... Well, it reminds him of a kid in a candy shop. Or a kid soon to be in a candy shop.]

[A sidelong glance confirms that, yes, he is much like a kid in a candy shop. V feels proud of his choice of "date", at least, in that it provides ample entertainment for the both of them. He might not have the same kind of fixated interest in machinery and how things operate, but he does possess a needling curiosity and desire for knowledge in general -- even when it comes to subjects that he never bothered to focus on before. New information is always enlightening in its own way.
